One of the most refreshing things about spring is the vibrant flowers. The light pinks, purples, and yellows are all uplifting after a long, cold winter. Something that I find to brighten up any area of the home is a wreath. You'd be surprised where you can stick a wreath, whether it be on the closet of your pantry, the front door, over a window, or my personal favorite a cabinet door in the kitchen.
Making a wreath on your own is not complicated at all. In fact, it is so simple that the most uncreative person can do it with ease. So why pay over 20? 30? even 40 dollars at the store for something you can make for less than five dollars? My go-to products are always easy to find.
Things you need: hot glue gun, wreath, floral cutters, and florals.
This is the wreath from Dollar Tree. It is about 8 inches in length, so it is small, but I do believe they sell larger ones, I just grabbed these. However, if you want you could always go to Michael's Craft Store or Hobby Lobby and use a coupon or wait for a sale for a larger size, but for me this works perfectly. Now when it comes to the florals, the choices are endless. Depending on the color scheme you are going for or just a preference of flower. For myself I have three different kinds. At Michael's they always are having sales on their florals so I picked up a few bushels of tulips, daisies, and another that I failed to write down before pitching the tag! lol Anyways on sale, these florals were 1-2 bucks a bushel. I used two bushels for each wreath. Another fun thing you can do to add some Easter touches is picking up a pack of Dollar Tree's pastel speckled eggs. They are so pretty and perfect for the Easter season. So next I took the bushels and cut each stem off. A tip before gluing down to the wreath is to arrange how you want them first, that way you aren't peeling them off if they aren't in the place you want them.
So there you have it! Three different spring and Easter wreaths made for about three dollars each. I will say, the top wreath pictured I didn't even have to glue the flowers down. They easily stuck and wrapped into the wreath and stayed on their own! I just love the look of the one with the eggs. And guys! Those eggs are Dollar Tree!!! Get creative with it and make it your own!
